In a highly anticipated rematch of their Week 7 showdown—where the Wizards clinched the top seed with a 30–6 win—Washingtonville wasted no time asserting control. On the very first snap of the game, the Wizards scored on a 60-yard touchdown run, setting the tone for what would be an explosive first half.
By the end of the opening quarter, the Wizards had tacked on two more touchdowns and ultimately finished the first half with five total scores. Super Bowl MVP Dominic Gialella accounted for all five touchdowns in a performance for the ages. Gialella, alongside fellow running backs Joaquin Castro and Derek Farrell, ran behind an offensive line that physically dominated the trenches—a hallmark of this Wizards team all season long.
