The Orange County Youth Football League (OCYFL) is a youth football and cheerleading program serving student-athletes ages 5 to 14 from towns located within Section IX of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association. Since 1992, OCYFL has provided a structured environment for competitive football and recreational cheer, following the league’s own rules and regulations to ensure safety, sportsmanship, and development for all participants.
OCYFL seeks to develop well rounded youth who will not only learn the fundamentals of football and cheer, but also the importance of sportsmanship and have fun while learning the game. To inspire and assist in providing sound town programs for the youth regardless of race, creed, religion or national origin and to practice good sportsmanship and physical activity, along with learning lessons of self-discipline, team work, determination, friendship, leadership, and a respect for authority.
There are no tryouts or cuts based on athletic ability for our program, anyone that completes the registration process will be subjected to mandatory playing rules that apply to all athletes in the program.
Orange County Youth Football League was established in 1992, beginning first as Minisink-Middletown Youth Football League, Inc. and ultimately changing the name to Orange County Youth Football League, Inc in 1997.
The vision of Orange County Youth Football League is to provide our kids with a safe and competitive program which can be fun for all our parents, kids, coaches, spectators, and volunteers. Our program depends on teamwork, dedication, integrity, respect but most importantly the cooperation of towns represented.
Town involvement along with USA Football Heads Up Training for our coaches, we can continue to grow the game while keeping safety a top priority.
